Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus

I found an effective way to be productive– listen to Christian hymns (at a very minimal volume) while I work, there is a change in atmosphere (you could try it for yourself). There is a particular song that does me lots of good – When I sing or hear this song playing it changes my mind-set.

It is indeed great and sweet to trust in Jesus. Believe me it is worth taking Jesus at his word. You might not understand it all, but yes we need to take him at His word.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.

 

Sometimes these promises seem far-fetched, it seems it is a promise to your other sister or brother but not you – of course when you look at what you going through you can’t really relate to the fact that God says I will never leave you nor forsake you – but my dear one it is SWEET to trust in Jesus. That promise is for you as well. You might not understand it all but trust His word and in His promise. He who has promised is faithful.

Sometimes there is a lot going on in your life, the so called blessings seems to be a big challenge. But that is where this song comes in…. it is sweet to trust in Jesus. If He has brought you this far He has given you more than enough grace to go through that circumstance.

Don’t cease to pray, let nothing move you. Know who you are in Christ Jesus.

As I write this blog, it so much applies to me, there are many things I don’t really understand but my answer lies in the song above – It is so sweet to trust in Jesus and to take him at His word. I have tasted and seen the goodness of the Lord in the past and I can trust him for my now and the future.

In days/weeks/months/years to come I would understand why I had to go through all the challenges I have been through. Yes it would be clearer and I will even thank him for the challenge as it would make me a better person. But for now all I can say is it is so SWEET to trust in Jesus.

I pray for anyone out there going through hard times/ challenges – God’s promises are yes and amen. It applies to me and you. He would see us through every situation we are going through- there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Let us not give up hope but continue to trust in Jesus.
